Potato and pumpkin casserole: You need these ingredients
- 500 g Hokkaido pumpkin
- 700g potatoes
- 200 ml milk
- 200 ml cream
- 100g grated cheese
This is how you make the potato and pumpkin casserole
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan.
- Peel the potatoes and then cut them into thin slices.
- Halve the Hokkaido pumpkin, remove the seeds and cut it into thin slices of the same size.
- Mix the milk with the cream and season the mixture as desired with salt, pepper, paprika powder and a little nutmeg. At this point you can also chop a clove of garlic and add that too.
- Now fat one casserole dish with butter, oil or margarine. Place the pumpkin and potato slices alternately in the baking dish. Pour the milk and cream mixture over the slices.
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
- Remove the casserole and sprinkle it with the grated cheese. Bake the casserole again for about 20-30 minutes.
- As soon as the cheese turns a golden brown color, the casserole is ready.
