Mulled wine is a popular drink in winter. You can warm it up several times. But you shouldn’t just pay attention to the right temperature.
Warm up mulled wine in the microwave
- Pour the mulled wine into a microwave-safe cup or glass (300 ml).
- Place the cup in the middle of the turntable and close the microwave door.
- Set the switch to 440 watts and the timer to 2:15 minutes. If you have several glasses, increase the time.
- Before drinking, stir the liquid well and carefully test how hot the drink is.

Warm up mulled wine on the stove
- Pour the mulled wine into a pot and place it on the stove.
- First set a slightly lower level (for example level 6 out of 9). This will allow the drink to slowly warm up.
- Place a cooking thermometer in the pot. At a temperature of 72 degrees, the mulled wine is ready to be poured into the glass.
Warm up mulled wine in the oven
It’s best not to use the oven to heat the mulled wine, but rather to keep it warm. Simply use the residual heat from the oven after cooking or baking. Simply heating it in the oven uses a lot of energy.
