With these ingredients, marble cake is juicy
And then comes the secret ingredient with which the marble cake gets a particularly juicy note – yogurt! There are 150 grams of them.
There is another tip so that the cake becomes particularly fluffy: you put a dash of sparkling water in the dough. Due to the carbon dioxide, air comes into the sticky mass and the cake becomes loose.
So the cake is prepared
- The oven is preheated to 160 degrees.
- Then the Gugelhupf shape must be prepared – this is greased with butter and then dusted with flour.
- The dark chocolate is then chopped small before it is melted over a water bath.
- Put the butter and sugar in a bowl and whip until creamy. Then the eggs are stirred individually.
- Flour and baking powder are then mixed. Mix the flour mixture alternately with 100 g of the yogurt under the butter-egg mass.
- Half of the dough is now filled into the Gugelhupfform – the other half of the dough is mixed with the melted chocolate, cocoa powder and the rest of the yogurt. Then the dough also comes into the mold.
- Then you stuck into the dough with a fork and turn it in a circle-with that you get the typical marble pattern. You cancel the dough surface smoothly.
- The cake then comes into the oven for around 45 minutes.
